NK Design Solutions – Owner
This is the brand under which I do freelance and contract work. NK Design Solutions specializes in all aspects of graphic design. Over the years I have established business relationships with many printers, photographers and web developers. I use all these resources to create quality advertising and business materials for small to medium sized businesses.
2012-2016
Chicago State University – Lead Graphic Designer
As Lead Graphic Designer, I worked with our marketing team to create branded promotional materials on a daily basis. Our main goal was to generate enrollment and advance the brand both on campus and in the community. My main focus was developing the yearly enrollment campaign. I prepared ads for various print and web applications as well as outdoor signage, displays and billboards. I also worked with departments within the university to create handouts, brochures and other collateral.
2007-2009
12GA (12 Gauge) – Print and Design Office Manager
12GA is a technology design and development firm that provides businesses with the knowledge and technical expertise to develop effective solutions that benefit small to medium sized companies.
As the Print and Design Office Manager, I focused on concept development and execution. Projects included web and print layout as well as large format and collateral materials. I led a team of talented individuals including a copywriter and web developer. I managed every stage of the sales and development process as lead creative and office manager.
2005-2007
Digital City Graphics – Design and Sales Coordinator
DGC is a leading supplier of products and services in the printing field. They excel in pre-press print design, large format print creation and delivering all different types and quantities of printed materials.
As Design and Sales Coordinator, I sold and designed print jobs for creation in our production department. I was in charge of creating and working with my client base. Designing an array of different matterials including posters, banners, vinyl graphics and signage. I also designed paginated books and brochures as well as common business materials.

Columbia College Chicago – BFA in Graphic Design
I chose Columbia because they offer a truly well rounded BFA program. I took many classes in traditional fine arts fields. These areas included Art History, Photography, Drawing, Pottery and Painting. I was awarded a BFA in Graphic Design in 2010. I took numerous design classes which included; 2-D and 3-D Design Theory, Symbolism, Marketing, Typography, Digital Design and Web Development. I believe my broad foundation in fine art makes my designs that much better.
